Investing in rural economic development is critical for middle class Oklahoma families. Our leaders need to protect access to health care and education, because rural towns suffer when families lose access to health care and schools.
Congress should continue to partner with local agriculture organizations to spur economic development in Oklahoma. As your Congressman, I will fight to increase available grants and federal aid for state investment in renewable energy, agriculture, and rural businesses.
In Washington, I’ll propose the creation of a task force to explore collaboration with state, local, tribal leaders and other stakeholders in order to find new opportunities for rural investment. We need to work together to find solutions for Oklahoma communities -- instead of just settling for solutions coming out of Washington.
